RMB4ATX8–Leo Poeten (1889 - 1949) - a self portrait., Oil on canvas and stretcher, signed on the lower right. 88.5 x 60.5 cm, framed 98.5 x 70 cm. Leo Poeten, a painter from Düsseldorf, studied at the local Art Academy under P. Behrens and A. Münzer, creating numerous portraits and landscape paintings. His portrait of Captain Erich Steinbrück was acquired in 1938 by the Naval Ministry.
