The box is elongated rectangular in shape and decorated with rosewood strips between which turtle fillings used to be placed. On the front wall, eight rosewood strips run parallel to the top right. The strip to the right of the lock is missing. On the left is still a cross strip. The corners were reinforced with two vertical strips.
