Famous American playwright Tennessee Williams lived for 34 years in this modest 1933 home on Duncan Street in Key West, Florida, USA. Before his death in 1983 at age 71, Williams wrote 'The Glass Menagerie,' 'A Streetcar Named Desire,' 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof' and other stage classics that also became major motion pictures. The house is privately owned and not open to the public, but visitors to the Florida Keys can learn more about the playwright's life at the Tennessee Williams Museum in an 1884 bungalow at 513 Truman Avenue in Key West.
