A Daily Mirror picture of the sad and impressive scene in historic Westminster Hall when the coffins of the forty-eight men killed in the R101 disaster lay in honoured state. An officer and men of the R.A.F., the latter with arms reversed, kept motionless guard beside the biers, around which were hundreds of beautiful wreaths, withthat sent by the King and Queen at the head.
