To stop a low income housing division from being built on land filled with trees and sinkhole a tree sit began during March 2001 and lasted more than 100 days in Bloomington, Indiana. The first sitter Tracy 'Dolphin' McNeely secretly climbed down in in late June citing burnout after she was supported by a ground crew for months.
