The disaster happened when a Hawker Hunter jet crashed into a busy road junction during the airshow, the families held a two minute silence on a wooden bridge across the river Adur close the site of the crash. Shoreham-by-Sea, Sussex, UK, 22nd August 2017. On the 2nd anniversary of the disaster at Shoreham Airshow, families and others gathered to remember the eleven men who died. The disaster happened when a Hawker Hunter jet crashed into a busy road junction during the airshow, the families held a two minute silence on a wooden bridge across the river Adur close the site of the crash.
