Stockholm in the old days. Dead Ship's Bay adjacent to Waldermarsudde and Stockholm's harbor entrance. The Second World War is ongoing and Norway has been occupied by Nazi Germany since April 1940. A number of Norwegian merchant ships lie at anchor in Dead Ships Bay, stranded in Stockholm harbor without the possibility of returning to Norway. One of the sailors manages the cooking on board and stands in the ship's kitchen frying something on the frying pan. 11 June 1940. Kristoffersson ref 147-1
