Sydney, Australia. 1st December 2020. Pictured: Cricket legend Michael Clarke. A new Australian designed and manufactured technology will assist the one in 10 Australians living with asthma manage their condition. Cricket legend Michael Clarke joined Respiri CEO Marjan Mikel to officially launch wheezo on the first day of summer – a particularly troubling time of year for Australians with asthma due to bushfire smoke and pollen thunderstorms aggravating the respiratory system. Australian designed and manufactured technology wheezo, assists asthma patients, particularly children and adolescents, with the management of their condition. wheezo includes a small hand-held device and eHealth app that records and analyses breath sounds for wheeze, in the same way a doctor uses a stethoscope to listen to wheeze. The app also allows users to log other asthma symptoms, triggers, medication usage and environmental data, as well as providing easy access to a user’s Asthma Action Plan. Users can share their asthma information with their health professionals, extending asthma care beyond the clinic. Credit: Richard Milnes/Alamy Live News
