RMR3KGA4–The Great Seal of Charles I (1600-1649) monarch over the three kingdoms of England, Scotland, and Ireland from 27 March 1625 until his execution in 1649. He was born into the House of Stuart as the second son of King James VI of Scotland, but after his father inherited the English throne in 1603, he moved to England, where he spent much of the rest of his life. He became heir apparent to the thrones of England, Scotland and Ireland on the death of his elder brother, Henry Frederick, Prince of Wales, in 1612.

RMR6RN0H–King James II's Great Seal of the Realm, or Great Seal of the United Kingdom (known prior to the Treaty of Union of 1707 as the Great Seal of England; and from then until the Union of 1801 as the Great Seal of Great Britain and Ireland). It's a seal that is used to symbolise the Sovereign's approval of important state documents.

RMR20EYT–The Great Seal of James VI and I, James Charles Stuart; (1566-1625) was King of Scotland as James VI from 24 July 1567 and King of England and Ireland as James. Although the kingdoms of Scotland and England were individual sovereign states, with their own parliaments, judiciaries, and laws, though both were ruled by James. He succeeded the last Tudor monarch, Elizabeth I in 1603 and reigned in all three kingdoms for 22 years, a period known after him as the Jacobean era, until his death in 1625 at the age of 58.

RM2A502C7–Ahijah and Jeroboam, 1604. These four prints were likely meant as two pairs of engravings depicting scenes of the lives of the prophets Ahijah and Elijah. Although Elijah was a common subject for artists, works featuring Ahijah were extremely rare. Other than their common source, the Book of Kings from the Bible, they have no thematic link. The action in this print shows the prophet Ahijah giving the young Jeroboam-a rebel leader set against the idol-worshipping King Solomon-ten portions of his own new mantle. RMRB82DF–The Great Seal of the Realm, used to show the monarch's approval of important State documents for joint monarchs, William III (1650-1702), also widely known as William of Orange, King of England, Ireland and Scotland from 1689 until his death in 1702 and informally known as 'King Billy'. And Mary II (1662-1694) was Queen of England, Scotland, and Ireland, co-reigning with her husband and first cousin, King William III until her death in 1694. Popular history refers to their joint reign as that of William and Mary who became king and queen regnant following the Glorious Revolution.

RMR4X6F3–The Great Seal of the Commonwealth during the period from 1649 to 1660 when England and Wales, later along with Ireland and Scotland,were ruled as a republic following the end of the Second English Civil War and the trial and execution of Charles I. Power in the early Commonwealth was vested primarily in the Parliament and a Council of State. In 1653, after the forcible dissolution of the Rump Parliament, the Army Council made Oliver Cromwell Lord Protector of a united 'Commonwealth of England, Scotland and Ireland', inaugurating the period now usually known as the Protectorate.
