The Elephant and Castle pub at the corner of Stafford Street and Cannock Road, Wolverhampton reduced to a pile of rubble after being demolished by Peel Holdings plc on Sunday 4th March 2001.; The blue ceramic statue of the elephant once part of the city landmark is amongst the rubble.
