The Harrity Covered Bridge was buit in 1841 and crossed the Pohopoco Creek in Carbon County, Pennsylvania. In 1970 when the Beltzville Dam was being built to create a lake and state park the bridge would have destroyed. The US Corps of Engineers moved the bridge to a section of dry land to be preserved.
