The historic East Saint Helens street, lined with lovely old houses, runs from Abingdon Museum- and the town centre - to the medieval St Helens Church (seen in the distance). Here we see it covered with bunting and flags to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Regretfully, this celebration suffers from awfully bad timing; what with pandemics, climate change, war in Europe and rampaging inflation, most people really don't give a damn. In fact, if the celebrations here were much lower beneath the radar, they'd be positively subterranean.
