The leader of the large army of Scottish rebels against King Henry IV (1367-1413) usually called "The Douglas" (a traditional way of referring to a Scottish clan chief), returning across the Borders. As king, Henry faced a number of rebellions, Sir James Douglas, 2nd Earl of Douglas and Mar (1358-1388) was an influential and powerful magnate in the Kingdom of Scotland, who led many incursions by the Scots into England.
