More information:

At 96 hectares (about 237 acres) Beckenham Place Park is the largest green space in Lewisham, with large areas of ancient woodland, tennis courts, golf course and gardens. The Mansion (which actually lies just over the borough boundary in Bromley) was originally built for John Cator in c1770 with the Ionic columns of the portico taken from Wricklemarsh House at Blackheath, which he purchased and demolished.
