The white Monumento a Manoleteon (Manolete monument) is of Cordoba-born (1917) bullfighter, Manuel Laureano Rodríguez Sanchez better known as Manolete. He came from a bullfighting family. The monument was created by sculptor Manuel Alvarez Laviada and inaugurated on May 8, 1956, at Plaza del Conde de Priego in the city of Cordoba in Andalusia in southern Spain,
