The construction of the Shibuya Scramble Square major office development is an example of this. Recently the Yamanote Line, the busiest commuter line in metropolitan Tokyo, was shut down in one direction for a week to move the tracks to re-locate the line's platforms at Shibuya Station. The station serves a major tourist and transfer destination.
