United States. University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia. The University occupied the 'President's House', built in 1790, from 1801 until 1829. It was demolished in 1829 and two new University buildings were erected on the same place. President's House viewed from the southeast, with 1806-1807 Medical Departament wing (at left). Engraving.
