US ambassador to France Jane D. Hartley during a ceremony for the return of the painting 'La Coiffeuse' (The Hairdresser) by Pablo Picasso, at Centre Georges-Pompidou museum, in Paris, France on September 24, 2015. The painting was stolen in 2001. In December 2014, it was sent via Fed Ex from Belgium to the United States as a Christmas present. Upon its arrival, it was seized by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Newark, New Jersey. By August 2015, it was returned to the French state.
