Sunlight brightens a winter's day, creating the illusion of a summer's day. This image was taken at low-tide at Heswall Moorings. It looks south down the Welsh River Dee with Parkgate to the left and Queensferry on the right. The area is generally known for abandoned and decaying wrecks of old boats. I wanted to convey a different viewpoint of the working boats and leisure craft that are moored along the shore at Heswall. I love this scene because it shows how beautiful this bit of shore actually is, and it contrasts to many other images of the area. My photographic style is a little retro here, but it works perfectly for this scene.
