Villagers of Royston, Hertfordshire, are up in arms because of a rearrangement of county boundaries may cut them off from Hertfordshire and put them in the new county embracing Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire , the Isle of Ely and the Soke of Peterborough. This would mean an increase in rates as well as no longer being a North Hertfordshire town, which they have been for centuries. 27th May 1960.
