Virtual reality car design. Virtual reality (VR) screen image of the dashboard of a car that allows design changes to be made cheaply without having to build an actual prototype. At centre is the position of the operator's hand, as calculated by a computer using data from an electronic glove. The operator views the VR image through a headset. The operator can interact with the car's controls and make recommendations on design changes. The VR image has been overlaid onto an actual car mock-up or seating buck" which is comprised of a basic seat, steering wheel, foot pedals and gear stick.
