'Young Queen Victoria, then Princess Alexandrina Victoria of Kent', c1829 (c1902). Queen Victoria was queen of Great Britain and Ireland between 1837 and 1901, a reign which lasted almost 64 years - longer than that of any other British monarch. She was the last British monarch of the House of Hanover; her son King Edward VII belonged to the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.
