Located in Yellowstone National Park, Old Faithful Inn has a view of the old faithful geyser. Inside there is a five story lobby showcasing the log construction of the building. The central masterpiece of the lobby is the 500 ton stone fireplace and chimney rising 85 feet through the ceiling. Built in the golden age of rustic resort architecture it is one of the few log hotels still standing in the United States. Construction started in the winter of 1903 opening in the spring of 1904 it boasted electric lights and steam heat.
