Soldiers in the KGL during the Napoleonic wars were mostly Hanoverian emigrees, fighting in this British army unit to liberate their homeland from French occupation. They saw battle in the Baltic, Portugal, Spain, Southern France, Northern Germany and finally at Waterloo.
