The newest 'weapon' of the Communists in the East-West Berlin cold war is the camera. After weeks of ducking photographs taken from the West, the Communists early this month began shooting pictures themselves across the line. Always in plain view, the photographers seem to be trying to intimidate West Berliners by suggesting that the pictures will be put on file to be used for later identification. The ominous photographing has had no apparent affect on West Berliners, however, who continue to gather by the fence to wave to friends or jeer the 'people's police' guards on the other side.
